What is EAGLE?

EAGLE you may not have heard of, but does talented and gifted sound better? I've been put into this small group of middle school EAGLE students because we're good at higher level thinking. In EAGLE, as 5th and 6th graders we are taught small amounts of algebra and some of us understand it well.

In EAGLE, we have things like Math Monday where we work on worksheets about math to improve in that skill. There are also Tuesday Trivia, where we are given a trivia sheet with lots of different topics that we have to figure out, leading up to the Quiz Bowl where we're challenged with the trivia, but are left without computers to figure it out. On Wednesdays we have Word Wednesday with lots of word puzzles to train our minds.

Some days, such as Math Monday and Word Wednesday vary, and every other Wednesday we have a free day because of our inservice early out.

Right now, EAGLE is sounding a little boring, but trust me, we don't always do worksheets. There are lots of projects we do and throughout the years, I've accumulated a collection of them. Some of my favorites were the Backyard Project, Million Dollar Project, and Make Your Own Project (where you choose any topic to learn about).
